We host a large number of websites on our system. We have no control over what content our users decide to post on their websites, but we do have a set of rules about what content is and is not acceptable on our service.
If you feel strongly that someone with a website on our system has broken the law and their actions have affected you, we are happy to help if we can, but due to the nature of the service their may be times where we simply cannot provide anything useful to you.
Many of our users do not supply real names and addresses. Most sign up with simply an email address, which may or may not be fake.
We do not allow users to do anything illegal, or to incite hatred, racism or other bad behavior. If a user has done one or more of these things, and you can show us the location of this material, we will take it down and possibly suspend their account.
We are happy to help with members of government law enforcement agencies.
For private citizens who have started a legal process (eg, those attempting to sue for defamation or copyright infringement), we will most likely pass your court orders or any other communication along to the website owner in question, and ask them to reply. Often this is the most we can do, not because we are hiding evidence, but simply because there is nothing else we can do.
